Please go to this website and it will explain everything. This training will be done at the Greystone CIA Campus in CA. Its a nutritional conference and worth 1.5 credits through the CIA. The class is in Apr and Oct but the Apr class is already full. |

I'm going to independent duty who would I have to go through to get to go to this? would it just be the BM1 and BMSC?

Depends how involved the BM1 is in your business. Most likely you would go to the Senior Chief.
Good luck going to the 87. The 2 years attached to the 87 were the best years of my life. My advice for a cook on an 87 is----> become a BM for two years and cook on the side. Your life will be so much easier. You won't find many cooks who agree with me on this one. |

I agree with you...so far they have me only cooking (bullit wise) for three evalutions, heavy weather, inport, and underway holidays...lol. but I have been here bout two weeks and its a cake walk. maybe its a good thing that when I came in I was going BM, its almost all coming back to me...slowly but surley.
